Yes it has been a while. Almost two months. And I'm sure you're not interested in the lame excuses so let's just get on with it shall we?
I'm going to Ukraine again, end of May - Kyiv to be exact. Been there once before, in 1999 so exactly ten years ago. It was not a stellar visit so when my mother said she wanted to go again (I went with her and my stepfather) I was less than enticed. But then my friends urged me to go and I thought about it some more, figured out that I could get the time off work. So off I go again - oh and I'm not looking forward to the eight or nine-hour flight from Montreal to Frankfurt. But I AM looking forward to the days and nights to see the sights, eat, drink and relax. I know what to expect this time so it'll be that much better. I get to see my aunt. She's the only remaining relative on my mom's side. Such a lovely lady. Actually a big motivator for me to go is because of her, she's such a nice, sweet, genuinely kind person. Can't wait.
Still working two jobs. Had a major financial hiccup in January but it's all sorted now. May not have to work the second job, once I get back from my trip. The ironic thing is that I actually don't mind working there.
Day job is good. Co-workers are good. Bosses are good.
Life is, good.
And now I'm off to get groceries.

March is difficult here, too. We have to dig deep for our appreciation of small things. It'll be May, and then June, before you know it.
